Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Bromo

  • Pick-Up: Meet your guide and driver at your designated location (airport, train station, or hotel).
  • Scenic Drive: Travel toward Mount Bromo while learning about local Indonesian life and culture from your guide.
  • Optional Stop – Madakaripura Waterfall: Experience a short scooter ride and a 45-minute walk through river valleys to reach a towering waterfall curtain. (Note: The trail is currently undergoing maintenance without official insurance coverage; guests may choose a complimentary lunch instead).
  • Evening: Hotel check-in and free time to rest.

Day 2: Bromo Sunrise, Crater Hike & Transfer to Ijen

  • 03:00 AM – Sunrise Tour: Board a 4×4 Jeep to Kingkong Hill or Penanjakan Hill. Your guide will select an optimal, uncrowded viewpoint to watch the sun rise over the park.
  • Sea of Sand & Widodaren Valley: Traverse the vast volcanic terrain by Jeep, stopping for photos at Lembah Widodaren.
  • Crater Rim Hike: Take a 30- to 45-minute hike to the rim of Bromo’s active crater to view the volcano up close.
  • Mid-Day Transfer: Return to the hotel for breakfast, a shower, and check-out. Begin the 5- to 7-hour drive to Ijen.
  • Evening: Check into your hotel near Ijen and rest.

Day 3: Ijen Blue Fire, Crater Lake & Drop-Off

  • 00:00 – 01:00 AM – Night Departure: Transfer to the Ijen basecamp and begin a 1.5-hour trek guided by local experts—former sulfur miners who now share their local knowledge with travelers.
  • Blue Fire Experience: Descend into the crater to view the electric blue flames. (Note: Access depends on volcanic gas levels and weather; an additional fee of IDR 25,000/person applies).
  • Sunrise & Acid Lake: Hike up to the crater rim for sunrise views over Ijen’s turquoise lake.
  • Return & Departure: Trek back to basecamp, return to the hotel for breakfast and a shower, and transfer to your final drop-off location.
